Technophobia --- More and more

Over the weekend I was at (somewhat delayed) family birthday party. The adults put in A DVD that was to pit wits of the children vs. the adults. Anticipation ran high. The DVD was put in the player. No surprise to me: It didn't work. When I was a boy I didn't own electric trains. It seems as if everytime I went to a friend's apartment the tracks were set up --- and something called the "transformer" wouldn't work. We have some brilliant tech wizards in my family. My father, a highly educated and cultured man, once had difficulty pulling the little tab off a Dixie cup! Ben
