There goes the idea of running out of fossil fuels. Again.

In the early 1960s I asked a demographer I knew (then in his 60s) about the possibility of an energy shortfall.

He said "We've been running out of oil since I was a boy."

Maybe the "expert" who has predicted single-digit prices for a barrel of oil will be correct.

Or it will go lower.

Especially if we dump our inordinate fear of nuclear power.
