Complaint re KarlZ.

"A" :

Ben's response to drivel below:

I have known Karl for almost 25 years.

He is as honorable, courageous and dedicated man as I know.

He expects those who work with him to work well, if not quite as hard or effectively as he does.

Is there something wrong with that?

If you are going to get nasty and publish rumors, you ought to have the guts to go public with your name.

But I'll take it either way.

Drivel follows:

Yes, I agree that "we all have our problems," as you say; and by this may I assume that yourefer to personal ego problems like succumbing to the temptation to rewrite quotes ascribed to oneself without consulting with an article's original publisher?

Anyway, aside from the comments made by people that merely debate and/or take issue with what Mr. Zinsmeister has written in the past;

... how do you feel about rumors that Mr. Zinsmeister was actually removed from his job at The American Enterprise magazine because too many instances of his bullying management style and his ethically challenged practices finally became impossible for his superiors at the magazine's parent, American Enterprise Institute, to ignore?

Ben please do not publish this comment on your blog. I think you are making a mistake by publishing comments like the one from the man who accused Karl Zinsmeister of having been removed from his post because of "bullying", or whatever. By doing that you gave public airing to rumors which didn't deserve substantiation of any kind, even if you published the comment only to disagree with it. I don't think you should dignify rumors by giving them your attention. People read your blog... and now a whole lot of people like me, who didn't even know that there were rumors going around about Karl, have those rumors in their heads. And that just makes the rumors more likely to grow.
