All things considered...

Click here: CNN.com - Dems push Rumsfeld no-confidence vote - Sep 5, 2006

The Dems can do whatever they choose to make points for the 2006 Congressional elections. If they win many very powerful committee chairmanships will be turned over to a Rogue's Gallery of Far Left --- very, very--- Members of Congress.

Rumsfeld's run a pretty good war, at least from an American perspective.

Fewer military people --- all volunteers --- have been KIA than were slaughtered on 9/11.

In all, about 5% of the number of KIAs in Vietnam, most of whom were draftees.

There is an elected government. The elections were free and fair. They provided what may well the enduring image of the first part of the 21st Century: Arab women waving their purple fingers in the air to show that they voted. There is a Constitution.

Were some mistakes made?

Of course there were. That what happens in war, and in life. You don't need a study to prove that.

It is so.
