Art Buchwald --- Bobby Darin
Art Buchwald was told by his super-Doc (mine too) that he needs to go on a dialysis regimen.
He opted not to and moved to hospice, from where he continues to grind out his very original form of wit and humor --- far out-living expectations. He obviously loves doing it.
I watched the DVD of Bobby Darin's life. As a child he had rheumatic fever and the doctors told his Mom that he would probably die by age 15. But he fell in love with music. It was said he would be the "next Frank Sinatra. " He never quite made it that high --- although Frankie had some low-life connections.
The mind-body connection seems to me to be simply incredible.
We expect to do a Think Tank program on it in the very near future.
