Re: Pat's book --- the best-seller

Regarding my post on Pat Buchanon's book State of Emergency Mr Annonymous writes:

This is just a glib smear. Why not try providing a well-reasoned counterargument? You'll gain more respect from your readers (how many do you actually have?), and help prove you're still capable of that -- i.e. not borderline senile.

Response:

Look-a-here, Mr. (or Mss) A:

I don't know how many readers we have on Wattenblog. It's about a month old --- but I do know it's growing.

I don't think I'm senile. I'm writing Book&Blog that people tell me is the best stuff I've ever written.

Have you read Pat's books? I have.

He has been on my program more than once discussing them, alas, something with heat, but always with light. I have been on other programs with him. I like the man.

I just think he is wildly wrong on this issue. These are Catholic, traditional values, hardworking, family-oriented people (most of them) including the illegals, most of whom come here to send money back to their families. You would think he would celebrate their arrival.

He doesn't.

He's wrong.

I wonder why.

Ben
