Yes, it was taken out of context + + +

Click here: Welcome to Massachusetts Senator John Kerry's Online Office

Sure, his nasty remark was taken out of context. That's S.O.P.

This a strange dude.

I tend to believe much of what the SwiftBoaters said about him in 2004. He tends to exaggerate his exploits.

In 1986 (?) I was asked by President Reagan to serve as an election observer for the Marcos -Acquino Presidential race in the Phillipines. I was honored, and, of course accepted.

Sen. Richard Lugar (R. IN) was the head of the delegation. Rep. John Murtha (D.PA), then quite a Democratic hawk, was another member.

On Election Day we split up into to teams and, except for those observing in the Manila area, traveled by helicopter to the outlying areas.

I went Batangas, a lovely place.

Kerry's team returned.

He claimed that they had been fired upon by rebel forces. and that some of the fire had hit the chopper.

There were no bullet holes...

No bullet holes in Kerry's chopper? Probably, but how can you be so sure? Bullets are small - did you examine every inch of the chopper's skin yourself? Did someone else examine it? Is your assertion based upon more than just an eyeballing of the chopper from a few feet away?

How generous of you. Might it not be abvisable to critically examine the evidence, and perhaps the motives of the 'Swiftboaters', before deciding?

In any case, what may or may not have happened all those years ago does not discredit what Kerry says today.

No matter how much some people would like to believe it does.
