The markets

The Democrats --- allegedly a party not very friendly to business --- captured both Houses of Congress, and did quite well in state, local and county elections.

Factoid: America has a relatively low turnout rate. But it has a vast number of elections. We often elect dog-catchers and sewer-commisioners.

On Friday, usually a down day as traders try to lock in security, the markets moved up somewhat.

Why?

You know: Fundamentals correct, long boom, democratic capitalism fosters innovation, transparency fosters investment --- from all over the world --- with hoarded scrip called "dollars."

The NASDAQ did particulary well. It's stocks are generally quite innovative.
