Memory --- again, and again, and again
I am watching lots of DVDs these days.
Whoever imagined that a person could have a private showing at just the right volume, brightness etc.
I just recalled a great movie I saw a hundred years ago: Born Yesterday ( ! ) ( ? )
It stars Broderick Crawford as a gruff political wheeler-dealer. William Holden is an idealistic journalist.
And the fabulous Judy Holliday plays the putative dumb blond, "kept" by Crawford.
A great line:
Crawford : "You're uncouth."
Holliday: "I'm just as couth as you are."
I try to be couth. I usually succeed. I think.
