Gloria Seinem's remark.

A blog reader asked "What wrong with Gloria Steinem's cutesy-pie statement "A woman needs a man like a fish need a bicycle?"

You might start with the notion that it would mean the end of humanity as we know it, unless we go to "baby-farming" , a most unappeling idea.

Ms. Steinem, as I understand it, has certainly not followed her own dictum --- appropriately.
