Children

There is an incredible Birth Dearth going on. (My coinage I believe; I wrote a book by that name.)
In any event, birth and fertility rates are falling everywhere --- including amongst ultra-orthodox Jews, Mormons, Palestinians.

Do you know anyone who has more children than his/her parents or grand-parents?

I don't.

Is the world going out of business? These rates decline geometrically.

The late Julian Simon said that it means "fewer Beethovens." It also means fewer people likely to cure cancer. It means the diminishment of an "economy of scale"

It is unprecedented.
