Old and vigorous

Bernard Lewis, perhaps the America's leading expert on the Middle East, is 90, and displays boundless energy.

Daniel Schorr is also 90 and still holds skillfully holds down the fort as an NPR commentator ( he is, alas, well to my left.)

It is a great blessing to love your work as you get older. I do/am.

The longevity data are often misconstrued: The greatest increases, by far, still come from decreasing mortality among infants.

Still, enough of us are living longer, and enjoying it.

That's true with me. Almost.
