Interesting factoid. With all the electronics, jets still fly by-wire, pulleys, cables etc.

Boeing has had its troubles.

But Airbus is owned and subsidized by governments.

Accordingly, it is easy to blame delays, and red tape on government-ownership.

But I think that is just what happened.
