Given the apparent near-incredible power of the mind-body connection: Might there be a virgin birth?
Related notions : Beethoven wrote symphonies when he was deaf. George Orwell had to finish 1984 even though it killed him from tuberculosis, Arthur Koestler (Darkness at Noon) dropped writing political books, saying "you know what I think about the Red Rats..." and went off to the Cuacuses (sp?) --- not the foolish ones in Iowa --- to investigate whether that was the destination of the Lost Tribes of Israel.
