Darwin ...

I generally accept the notion of evolution.

I can't quite fathom some of it.

In the Amazon Rain Forest a species of bug gathers together to form into a floral pattern when they feel threatened by predators.

No matter how many billions of years they had to work on it, how could these (simple???) creatures tell each other what to do and when to do it.

We did a two-part Think Tank on "Intelligent Design." Watch for it; watch it.

The two panelists, who knew each other and said they respected each other, almost began shouting at each other.

My stock response, "Let's make believe I am the moderator of this program...."

My formulation:

Many Creationists are using Intelligent Design as means to introduce religion to the public square.

But all those who believe in ID are not Creationists.

Einstein had an ID. Francis Bacon did. Moses did. Jesus did. Darwin did.

BTW: The program was put together by my 23-year old AEI Research Assistant, Joe Manzari.
He was born in Iran, came here when he was 2, majored in philosophy at UCSanDiego.

His family --- older brother, Mother and Dad --- are secular. He is a fundamentalist/evangelical Christian.

To those of the female persuasion: This young man is a first class catch. We have posted his picture on this blog.

He strums a guitar, is an ace at things computer-ish --- self-taught ---and is a 100% solid citizen.
